Job Description
In our Group Financial Accountant role, you'll work closely with the Group Finance Director, Group Tax manager, and Group Consolidation accountant to develop a robust financial control infrastructure across the Group to facilitate appropriate financial management in a high growth business such as ours and work to ensure all statutory compliance is handled correctly.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
* Working across the wider Group, including the UK, Ireland, Belgium and Norway, to support the delivery of the Group’s financial results.
* Acting as the Group’s key IFRS technical accounting expert, supporting the Group Consolidation Accountant with technical accounting matters including IFRS 16, IFRS 3 and intangible asset valuations.
* Preparing VAT returns for the UK.
* Leading the preparation and filing of subsidiary statutory accounts using CCH.
* Supporting on internal tax queries relating to corporation tax.
* Supporting the Group audit process and working closely with the Group auditors in Luxembourg.
* Preparing financial statement notes for the Group’s IFRS consolidated financial statements.
* Assisting with the assessment and documentation of assumptions used in valuation processes across the Group.
* Working with the consolidation system, OneStream, to support the production of year-end financial statements.
Qualifications
We welcome your application if you are/have the following:
* Strong technical accounting skills and experience with IFRS.
* Experience with VAT and other tax filings, both in the UK and internationally.
* Experience supporting regulatory requirements.
* An appropriate professional qualification, such as ACA, ideally with practice training.
* A proven ability to implement processes, protocols and systems to support a rapidly growing organisation.
* Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and internationally with colleagues across the business.
* An energetic and motivated approach.
* A pragmatic mindset, balancing the need for structure and process with speed and entrepreneurial agility.
