Join our team at Avon View as a Care Assistant. Avon View, located just outside Christchurch, is a residential home that provides nursing, palliative, residential, and dementia care across three floors, supporting individuals with complex needs in a person-centred way.
What you’ll do:
* Support clients with personal care, nutrition and hydration.
* Comply with Health and Safety requirements in respect of moving and assisting and the use of equipment.
* Maintain dignity, privacy and respect for our clients.
* Be able to work flexibly across shifts including days, evenings and alternate weekends.
What you need:
* The ability to follow care plans and instructions.
* Good communication skills.
* Empathy with the needs of the clients.
* IT skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.
* NVQ Level 2 in Direct Care or willingness to achieve this.
36 hours per week
Nursing unit - 4 vacancies
Dementia and residential unit – 3 vacancies
