About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Warehouse Efficiency Manager to drive operational excellence within a global logistics environment. This role focuses on improving warehouse performance through process optimisation data driven decision making and the implementation of modern warehouse technologies.
This is a hybrid position combining operational leadership with ownership of systems and tools ensuring warehouse operations run efficiently and deliver high quality service to customers.
Location London
Working pattern 40 hours per week Monday to Friday
Key responsibilities
1. Operational efficiency
2. Analyse warehouse processes including receiving picking packing shipping and inventory control to identify inefficiencies
3. Develop and implement strategies to improve accuracy productivity and cost effectiveness
4. Lead continuous improvement initiatives using recognised methodologies
5. Define monitor and improve key performance indicators such as order accuracy pick rates fulfilment time and space utilisation
6. Standardise processes and best practices across multiple warehouse locations
7. Optimise storage and layout strategies to maximise efficiency
Warehouse systems and technology
8. Lead the development implementation and optimisation of warehouse systems and automation tools
9. Work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver scalable technology solutions
10. Translate operational needs into system improvements and new features
11. Oversee system testing training and adoption to ensure successful implementation
12. Maintain strong knowledge of warehouse and inventory management systems
13. Use digital tools to enhance reporting operational performance and customer service
Data and reporting
14. Develop and maintain performance dashboards and reports
15. Monitor key metrics and provide insights to support decision making
16. Conduct analysis to identify trends risks and opportunities
17. Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders
Customer engagement
18. Support customer solution development and proposals
19. Translate customer requirements into operational and technical solutions
20. Participate in customer review meetings and present performance results
21. Identify opportunities to improve service and reduce costs
22. Support business growth and warehouse utilisation
Leadership and collaboration
23. Work closely with teams across operations transport customer solutions and technology
24. Lead training and improvement initiatives within warehouse teams
25. Act as a link between operations systems and product development
26. Coach and support team members in data driven approaches
27. Manage warehouse teams including supervisors and shift leaders
28. Drive consistency across multiple international locations
29. Promote strong communication and team engagement
Experience and skills
30. Degree in supply chain operations engineering or a related field
31. At least 5 years experience in warehouse operations logistics or supply chain
32. Proven experience in process improvement or warehouse systems
33. Experience implementing automation or efficiency technologies
34. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
35. Good understanding of warehouse operations and optimisation
36. Experience with warehouse systems enterprise systems and reporting tools
37. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
38. Ability to manage cross functional projects
39. Knowledge of continuous improvement methods
40. Project and change management experience preferred
41. Professional certifications in supply chain or operations are an advantage
42. Willingness to travel when required
