What We're Looking For:
We are looking for a talented Senior Full Stack PHP Laravel Developer to join our team of four developers. The successful candidate will have expertise in both backend and frontend development, the ability to maintain and update existing codebases, and the skills to create new features. This role requires someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, working alongside external developers, and is eager to diagnose and solve complex problems.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain robust web applications using PHP and Laravel.
Collaborate within a team of developers to ensure seamless integration and teamwork.
Create, test, and deploy APIs to facilitate scalable and efficient application performance.
Debug and troubleshoot issues across the stack to maintain high-quality code.
Implement responsive and visually appealing front-end designs.
Leverage cloud technologies, particularly AWS, for hosting and deployment.
Use BitBucket for version control to manage and collaborate on code efficiently.
Have confidence in providing critique on peer code reviews.
Track and manage project progress using Jira, ensuring timely delivery of updates and features.
Skills & Experience:
Laravel: 2 years commercial experience.
Core PHP Proficiency: A strong foundation in core PHP, enabling efficient problem-solving.
Knowledge of front-end technologies including SASS and or LESS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and libraries like jQuery.
Object Oriented Programming experience.
Ability to optimize database queries and strong understanding of MySQL.
Familiarity with working in a cloud environment such as AWS.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Experience with BitBucket for version control and Jira for project management and team collaboration.
A passion for learning and adapting to new technologies.
Experience working with APIs and third-party integrations, especially Stripe as a payment gateway.
Understanding of UX/UI principles to enhance user experiences.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies.

SOLID Principles: Ability to apply core SOLID concepts of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

Location & Working Setup:
This is an in-person role based at our office in Burnley, Lancashire. With 3 days from the office and 2 days from home. You'll be part of the day-to-day engine room of the company, working closely with the founding team.
