Job Details
* Role: Support Worker
* Shift: Days or Nights
* Hours: 42 hours per week (Full‑time)
Duties
* Support people with disabilities, including those with profound and complex needs, using person‑centred approaches to enable achievement of positive outcomes from the support plan.
* Daily tasks: medication administration, cooking, cleaning and paperwork.
* Provide emotional and practical support.
* Assist residents to access community facilities and participate in community groups.
* Build robust relationships that promote independence and improve quality of life.
* Encourage learning new skills or pursuing hobbies and interests.
Person Specifications
* Experience within the care industry, ICSC or equivalent (essential).
* Previous experience supporting people with mental health conditions, complex care needs and challenging behaviours.
* Driving licence (essential).
* Ability to manage and multi‑task.
* Excellent time management, organisation, attention to detail and flexibility.
* IT literate.
* Positive, can‑do attitude.
* Good communication skills.
* Compassionate, caring and positive personality.
* Passion for making a real difference in people’s lives.
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour and conflict.
* Team player and able to work independently.
