About the Role This full-time, permanent position supports a modern Science department with a focus on student-led practical exploration. You will be responsible for preparing equipment and materials for Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 5 Biology, Chemistry, and Physics lessons. The role requires an individual who is highly organised, safety-conscious, and enjoys working as part of a busy and enthusiastic technical team. Responsibilities Prepare and set up specific laboratory equipment and chemical solutions for daily lessons in a timely manner. Maintain a rigorous equipment cleaning and sterilization schedule to ensure the highest standards of lab hygiene. Order and track laboratory consumables, managing the departmental budget for chemicals and small apparatus. Assist with the recording of practical assessments and ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly followed in the prep rooms. Requirements Previous experience as a technician or experience working within a classroom setting. Right to work in the UK and a valid enhanced DBS. Salary £29,000 – £33,500 per annum.
