Barnardo's is working in partnership with South Ayrshire ADP, Statutory Services, ACA, Recovery Ayr and We are With You, to provide whole family holistic support to children, young people and family members affected by substance use.
The Connexions service aims to provide a no ‘wrong door approach' to any child young person or family member wishing to access support in their own right.
Connexions also delivers early intervention and prevention group work and inputs within schools and community groups.
The successful candidate will be part of the innovative development and delivery of this exciting initiative and therefore is required to demonstrate a level of experience, skills, and knowledge to carry out key aspects of the role as highlighted below.
1. To work as part of a multidisciplinary team in South Ayrshire that includes a range of staff, peers, and volunteers from third sector and statutory services.
2. To provide holistic support to children, young people, family members and loved ones affected by substance use.
3. To provide support to young people with early and emerging substance use
4. To provide early and effective interventions and prevention work within schools and community groups
5. To work collaboratively with families to promote recovery and develop and nurture strengths to ensure both children and adults can overcome any difficulties that get in the way.
6. To work collaboratively with a wide range of statutory and third sector partners across the ADP, as well as with internal and external stakeholders, to achieve effective, safe and innovative service provision.

This role will require you to travel independently across South Ayrshire therefore you must be flexible and adaptable, particularly in relation to working hours and location.
