Team Leader
Contract: Professional Services, Production & Technology

Hours of work: 48 hours per week, 4 on / 4 off rotation (12‑hour shifts)
Contract Type: Permanent
We are seeking a skilled Team Leader to support the effective delivery of facility maintenance and utility plant operations.
This role is responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day performance of a small technical team, ensuring that preventative and reactive tasks are completed to required quality and safety standards.
You will play a key role in maintaining operational continuity, supporting site procedures, and ensuring compliance with client and company expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform supervisory functions to support facility maintenance and utility plant operations.
* Review and evaluate team performance, ensuring quality standards are consistently met.
* Assign tasks for work tickets and preventative maintenance work orders.
* Ensure all PMs and work orders are completed as scheduled each month.
* Maintain and update O&M documentation, drawings, manuals, and site operating procedures.
* Coordinate contractor and vendor access, ensuring safe and compliant site activities.
* Support operational modifications including critical switching, lockout/tagout, and safe‑work setups.
* Assist with subcontractor quote evaluations and provide operational data for required reports.
* Maintain organised and compliant storage of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
* Ensure adherence to company, client, and regulatory HSEQ requirements.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
* Experience in a team leader role with responsibility for overseeing a small technical team.
* Strong understanding of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
* Good working knowledge of health & safety requirements in a building services environment.
* Fully qualified in either electrical or mechanical engineering.
* Practitioner‑level experience within technical services – ideally in integrated facilities management across financial services, manufacturing, industry, or healthcare.
* Strong knowledge of work order control and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
* Experience managing subcontractors and vendor contracts.
* Ability to monitor and report on key performance indicators and capacity planning.
