We have an exciting opportunity for a Training and Recruitment Administrator to join our team on a permanent, part‑time basis, supporting the delivery of bus driver training and recruitment processes across the business.

About the role
In this role, you'll play a key part in creating a welcoming and seamless induction experience for all new starters, ensuring every stage of the recruitment and compliance process is completed accurately and on time.
You'll work collaboratively with Training Officers, Recruitment Leads, Apprenticeship Providers and incoming candidates to deliver high‑quality administrative support. You'll keep systems up to date, manage essential documentation, and help ensure every new colleague feels supported from day one.
Key responsibilities:
Induction & Onboarding: Prepare induction materials, complete system updates, issue induction communications, and provide administrative support to Training Officers.
Recruitment Administration: Produce recruitment documentation and assist with coordinating pre‑employment checks.
Candidate Communication: Manage the recruitment inbox, respond to enquiries, and guide candidates through required documents, ensuring all outstanding checks are completed.
Systems & Data Management: Maintain accurate onboarding data by updating internal systems and trackers in line with data policies.
General Administration: Support the Training and Recruitment teams with day‑to‑day administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings and training sessions.
About you
Essential Skills & Attributes
Strong organisational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Confident engaging with candidates via phone, email, and in person.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and manage time well.
Good IT proficiency, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and internal systems.
Desirable
Experience in recruitment or HR administration.
Knowledge of right‑to‑work checks and employee onboarding processes.
Understanding of apprenticeship procedures.
Experience working within a training or transport environment.
