Qualifications & Experience:
* QTS (or equivalent) and an undergraduate degree
* Successful experience of teaching the primary curriculum
* Good understanding of current theory and best practice in teaching and learning, especially regarding progress of primary children
* Strong subject knowledge of the core National Curriculum
* Understanding of child development and how it influences planning
* Effective classroom behaviour management strategies aligned with school policies
* Awareness of equal opportunity issues and strategies to address them in schools
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
