Customer Delivery Driver – Rutherglen
Key details: Pay starts at £13.35 an hour (£14.56 inside the M25). Minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week; 12‑hour part‑time options available. Pay increases with location and additional payments may apply.
We deliver across Scotland, meeting customers in their homes and providing a customer‑first experience. This role is more than driving – it’s about building relationships, maintaining a clean and safe van, and ensuring every delivery meets the highest standards.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the van and trays are clean, tidy, and roadworthy.
* Keep the back‑yard clean, picking up litter as required.
* Follow the tray wash process and load the van accurately.
* Communicate with customers about order changes, substitutions and refunds.
* Treat all products and deliveries as if they were your own.
* Deliver during the customer’s time slot and call in if you will be late.
* Call the customer before arriving if early, and call the store if you are 30+ minutes late.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit.
* Warm and welcoming customer interactions; say “Thank you” and listen carefully.
* Act quickly to meet changing customer needs.
* Energetic and driven, balancing home and work effectively.
* Share ideas with the manager and colleagues to improve the store.
* Valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (Full or Automatic) for at least 12 months, with no more than 3 penalty points.
