Overview
An opportunity has arisen to recruit multiple Housekeepers on a full time and/or part time basis to work on 2 new modular wards at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. Ward 38 & 39 will be equipped to care for 28 Gastroenterology & Colorectal inpatients each.
Responsibilities
* To assist in the smooth running of the ward by promoting a clean and healthy environment.
* To be responsible for ensuring adequate stocks of consumables are maintained to meet service requirements and that all equipment within the department is clean and in good working order.
* To assist in the transfer of patients and equipment.
Requirements / Qualifications
Enthusiastic and hard-working; previous experience in a health care setting is desirable, however you will need to demonstrate commitment to developing yourself to support the nursing team in caring for patients and ensuring the patient experience is positive. Excellent interpersonal skills required to liaise with patients and staff, both face to face and over the phone. You will be required to maintain stock levels and participate in ordering of stock. You will also be required to maintain a high level of cleanliness within the ward.
Interview details
Interviews for these positions will be held in person, on site at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital as part of our recruitment event on Saturday 4 October 2025. There will be no option of a digital/electronic interview.
