About the Role: We are seeking a talented and driven Bid Writer / Bid Coordinator to join our growing pre-construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality written bids and tender submissions, ensuring all documents are clear, engaging, and aligned with our corporate standards.
Youll be a creative, self-motivated writer with a positive, winning mentality and exceptional attention to detail. In this fast-paced environment, youll need strong time management, organisation, and communication skills, as well as a collaborative mindset to help secure key project opportunities.
Key Responsibilities: Bid Coordination & Administration
Support the full bid process from initial enquiry to tender submission, including writing input for quotations and large-scale bids.
Maintain and manage the in-house CRM system.
Oversee client portals and framework accounts, including daily opportunity monitoring, alerts, and login maintenance.
Bid Writing & Submission: Edit and proof-read all bid materials for clarity, accuracy, and presentation.
Review client documentation ahead of bid launch meetings.
Produce bespoke CVs and case studies tailored to specific bid requirements.
Collaborate with the Bid Manager to develop compelling win strategies and clear value propositions .
Manage written content to ensure all submissions are professionally presented and in line with corporate branding .
Coordinate and plan client presentations as part of bid submissions.
Track deadlines and milestones to ensure timely delivery of all bids.
Support the creation of visually appealing, brand-consistent documents using tools such as Adobe InDesign or Photoshop .
Social Value & Framework Management: Contribute to social value bid responses and support the wider social value strategy .
Assist with framework submissions, ensuring all projects are correctly recorded and allocated.
Continuous Improvement: Develop and maintain a library of model answers and reusable content .
Conduct lessons-learned reviews and share best practices for future submissions.
Analyse client feedback to enhance bid quality and effectiveness.
Additional Responsibilities: Complete capability assessments and pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs) .
Undertake ad hoc duties to support the wider business as required.
Skills & Experience Required: Proven experience in bid writing, ideally within the construction, engineering, or related sectors .
Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills with excellent attention to detail.
Exceptional time management and organisational abilities.
Experience with design software (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.) is desirable.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
A collaborative team player with a proactive, positive attitude.
