About the Role
The Assistant Registrar will support object acquisition, lending, borrowing, and other collections activities across the museum. In the next two years, the team is busy as the museum prepares for opening at Smithfield and the final exit from London Museum Spaces.
Responsibilities
* Support curators, conservators, collection care and documentation colleagues with loan, entry, exit, acquisition, and disposal activities.
* Carry out tasks with a high degree of accuracy, solving complex and challenging logistical and documentation issues across London Wall site, other sites and stores.
* Manage registration, documentation, and packing of objects to maintain collections integrity.
Qualifications
* Some experience working with collections and knowledge of museum documentation processes.
* Experience in a registrarial capacity, such as arranging loans and acquisitions.
* Practical experience using a museum collections management system and handling and packing objects.
* Highly organised, self‑motivated, able to prioritise workload and work as a committed team player with excellent communication skills.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an interview on Wednesday 18 February 2026, including a 30‑minute task followed by a 45‑minute interview to assess essential person specification criteria and museum behaviours.
