Do you have the patience, resilience, and empathy to make a real difference in the lives of young people? GSL Education are seeking a passionate and dedicated Behavioural Specialist to join a caring and supportive school environment in the Derby area.

You’ll play a key part in helping students develop emotional regulation, confidence, and respect — creating a safe and nurturing space for learning.
As a Behaviour Specialist, you will:
* Supporting students with behavioural, emotional, or social needs both in and out of the classroom.
* Implementing tailored behaviour plans and de-escalation strategies.
* Working collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams, and SEN staff to promote positive outcomes.
* Building trusting relationships that encourage growth, self-belief, and motivation.
* Helping create a calm, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Requirements for Behaviour Specialist:
* Experience supporting children or young people with challenging behaviours or additional needs.
* A calm, patient, and proactive approach with a genuine passion for helping others.
* Excellent communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
* A commitment to promoting emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour management.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years of employment, with explanations for any gaps.
