Purpose of the Role 1.Create a balanced and optimised production plan to support maximum output, achieving customer requested dates and minimising working capital investment. Prioritise and expedite production orders. Highlight any disruptions and escalate to all departments that may be effected. and find a long-term solution with other departments. Analyse data and interpret trends, patterns, predictions to highlight changes / movements looking forward. Production Planning Mission To collaborate with the demand forecasting, operations and procurement teams to create a short and medium-term view that enables the creation of a detailed, reliable and measurable Production plan to maximise Customer OTIF and enable the manufacturing processes to operate at optimum efficiency. The Opportunity: Health & Safety Support stock management plans never to exceed capacity in warehouse or production lines Perform regular Behavioural Safety observations Tactical steering (1 month) Control production plans to support Leeds operation inline with KPI's Highlight trends, patterns and predictions that support the requirement of manufacture (both make to order and make to stock) Work with operations team to assess, highlight and amend any order that impacts manufacturing / inventory Liaise with wider team (customer Excellence, Quality, Operations, R&D, Procurement) to support objectives. Create an achievable (capacity constrained) plan Lead the weekly planning meeting for a production area. Strategical - (2-4 months) 1.Trends, forecasts, assumptions, seasonal & opportunities are analysed, critiqued to create 1-4 month forecasts for each manufacturing line Interpret forecasts, analyse, and use to steer decision making focussed on KPI improvements such as plan attainment, capacity utilisation, inventory and OTIF Prepare and monitor kpi's demonstrating achievements Drive use and best practice of SAP for the planning function Support Planning and Steering Manager Cover partially for holidays, sickness etc Training to be given to support People Skills Skill level requirements are clearly defined, plans in place to continually improve Absence Management and check ins Strong team culture, clear communication The Rewards: You will be rewarded with a competitive salary, and a sweep of great benefits.
