Job Description
To deliver CDM and H&S consultancy services from our Newcastle office to existing and new clients. The scope of services is flexible and depends on the client’s requirements, covering both CDM and H&S Management.
The key requirement is to understand the client’s needs, proactively identify solutions, and ensure consistent delivery of service excellence in meeting their expectations.
Responsibilities
* Understand and develop existing systems and processes to improve both CDM and H&S efficiency.
* Provide expert advice and, where required, act as Principal Designer to help the client manage and understand their legal responsibilities in accordance with CDM regulations.
* Establish positive relations with existing and new clients to gain confidence and become a trusted advocate.
* Represent Turner & Townsend professionally, meeting, negotiating, and corresponding with clients in a timely manner.
* Manage all commissions assigned to ensure both client expectations/the scope of service and the requirements of Turner & Townsend’s business management system are effectively discharged.
* Carry out H&S performance reviews, audits, etc. on behalf of the client.
* Liaise proactively and professionally with SHQ and wider Turner & Townsend colleagues to contribute to team effectiveness; support others as needed and ensure consistency, quality and profitability of shared projects.
* Compile and create relevant pre‑construction information and H&S files.
Qualifications
* NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
* Full UK driving licence.
* NEBOSH Diploma Level (or equivalent).
* GradIOSH or equivalent.
* Membership of the APS.
* Experience as a Principal Designer.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to effectively plan and organise own workload to meet deadlines.
* Extensive knowledge and experience within the Construction Industry, specifically around the CDM Regulations.
* Experience of a diverse range of industry sectors is desired; proven ability to meet clients’ needs is an advantage.
