We are looking to recruit a Registered and Newly Qualified Mental Health Nurse at The Meadows, West Park Hospital.
The Meadows is a single storey building in the grounds of the Noble Park housing development in the former West Park Hospital site in Epsom. This is a 24/7 hospital service with 24 beds available for the care of people aged over 65 years who have dementia or organic mental ill-health (decreased function due to medical or physical disease, rather than a psychiatric illness).
There are three single sex wards, each with eight beds:
* One ward is for people with mental ill-health (functional, e.g. bipolar or depression)
* Two wards are for people with dementia
We are a multidisciplinary team including occupational therapists and psychology support.

Job Overview
The post holder will be a core member of the multi‑disciplinary team, participating in the provision of ongoing assessments, care planning, treatment and support of people with serious and enduring mental health problems and people in crisis. He/she will particularly ensure access to and availability of mental health nursing skills to users of mental health services and their families.
