Job Summary
The post holder will be welcomed as a member of the friendly Community Learning Disability Team (CLDT) in North Tyneside. CLDT provides a multi-disciplinary/agency service to both adults and children with learning disabilities living in North Tyneside. The Psychology Service functions as a secondary care service within the broader team and delivers a full range of assessment and treatment services to clients, families, and carers in various community settings.

Main Duties of the Job
* Provide highly specialist clinical psychology assessments and consultation therapy to people with learning disabilities and their families in North Tyneside.
* Focus on the needs of both adults and children with mental health and challenging behaviour issues.
* Undertake research and audits for policy and service development.
* Manage own and team psychologists' workloads.
* Offer psychological advice, consultation, training, and supervision to multidisciplinary team members.

Job Responsibilities
The post-holder will work autonomously within BPS Good Practice guidelines, manage a caseload, supervise junior staff and trainees, and be responsible for testing equipment and materials.
Person Specification
Qualifications/Experience (Essential)
* Doctoral Level Training in clinical psychology, psychopathology, psychometrics, neuropsychology, and psychological therapies, accredited by BPS.
* Post-qualification training in therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT), supervision, research, or management.
* Registration with HCPC.
* Experience in psychological assessment and treatment of clients with learning disabilities.
Other Requirements
* Valid driving license and ability to use a car for work purposes.
