Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounting department, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software, including Sage, and Xero, as well as strong financial management skills.
Duties
* Oversee all financial transactions and ensure accurate reporting of financial data.
* Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to maintain healthy cash flow.
* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards.
* Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
* Conduct regular audits of financial processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.
* Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to senior management.
* Lead the preparation of tax returns and liaise with external auditors during audits.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within a finance department.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly in relation to accounts payable and receivable.
* Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero is essential.
* Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
* A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred; professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) are advantageous but not mandatory.
