About The Role
I'm seeking an experienced
Delivery Manager
to join a high-profile public sector programme on a contingent contract basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading delivery teams, driving outcomes, and ensuring services are user-focused, efficient, and aligned with government digital standards. You must be willing and be available to travel to different office locations for this role.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proven Delivery Manager who thrives in complex environments, can navigate public sector governance, and is confident managing multidisciplinary teams to deliver at pace.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead agile delivery teams to ensure projects meet time, cost, and quality objectives.
* Remove blockers, manage risks and dependencies, and drive continuous improvement.
* Work closely with product owners, service designers, and technical leads to align delivery with user needs and strategic goals.
* Support stakeholders with clear communication, reporting, and expectation management.
* Champion agile practices across the team and wider organisation.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven track record as a Delivery Manager within the UK public sector.
* Strong understanding of Agile delivery methods (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, SAFe, etc.).
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in complex, fast-paced environments.
* Familiarity with Government Digital Service (GDS) standards and assurance processes.
Desirable
* Experience with large-scale digital transformation programmes.
* Understanding of service design and user research in the public sector context.
* Previous security clearance (SC/DV) is advantageous.
