Solicitor / Legal Executive / Litigation Executive – Medical Negligence (Grade B / C)

About the Role
We are working with a nationally recognised law firm to recruit Grade B and Grade C fee earners for their expanding Medical Negligence Team in Hull or Manchester.
This is an exciting opportunity to manage your own caseload of medical negligence claims from inception to conclusion. You will work closely with clients, medical experts, and counsel to achieve the best possible outcomes. There is also potential to gain exposure to larger group actions and high-profile cases alongside senior colleagues, offering strong professional development and career progression.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage your own caseload of medical negligence claims from start to finish.
* Liaise with clients, counsel, medical experts, and third parties throughout the litigation process.
* Analyse and interpret medical evidence to support case strategy.
* Ensure compliance with the Pre-Action Protocol for Clinical Disputes and the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR).
* Draft legal documents, correspondence, and case pleadings.
* Maintain accurate and organised case records using case management systems (ideally Proclaim).
* Deliver excellent client care with a compassionate and professional approach.
* Contribute to team initiatives, high-profile cases, and group actions as required.
Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, or Litigation Executive (Grade B / C fee earner).
* Experience in medical negligence claims.
* Sound understanding of Pre-Action Protocol for Clinical Disputes and CPR.
* Ability to analyse and interpret medical evidence effectively.
* Proficient in using case management software, preferably Proclaim.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong client care skills with empathy and professionalism.
* Membership or eligibility for AvMA, Law Society Clinical Negligence Panel, or APIL is desirable.
