School Receptionist/Administrator

5. Working hours: 8am - (Monday – Thursday) and 8:00am - on a Friday
Are you an experienced School Administrator looking for a rewarding job in education? We are working in partnership with an 11–16 secondary school in South Leicester who are seeking an experienced and professional Receptionist/Administrator to cover a period of maternity leave from March. This is a full-time and long-term temporary role.
Key Responsibilities:
6. Weing Visitors: Acting as the first point of contact for all visitors, ensuring they are greeted warmly and signed in and out in line with safeguarding procedures.
7. Handlingmunications: Managing iing calls and messages with professionalism and efficiency, directing enquiries to the appropriate staff and ensuring timely follow-up.
8. Diary and Schedule Management: Coordinating the school calendar by booking appointments, arranging meetings, and sending reminders to staff and stakeholders.
9. Data and Record Management: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records using systems such as SIMS, Arbor, ParentPay, and Microsoft Office. This includes pupil and staff data, attendance, and other essential school information.
10. Procurement and Stock Control: Ordering and managing supplies, equipment, and stationery to ensure the school is well-resourced and prepared for daily operations.
11. Policypliance: Adhering to school policies and procedures, particularly in relation to health and safety, confidentiality, safeguarding, and data protection.
12. Reprographics Support: Carrying out photocopying, printing, and document preparation to support teaching and administrative staff.
What you'll need to succeed
13. You must have previous SCHOOL-BASED experience in a receptionist or administrative role.
14. Have an Enhanced DBS which is registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
15. Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
16. Strong IT skills and experience of using the internal school systems or other MIS software
17. Ability to prioritise workload work effectively within a fast-paced educational environment
18. A proactive, professional approach with strongmunication skills
19. A calm, professional manner and the ability to multitask.
