You'll be responsible for: Ensuring that operations are fiscally and ethically viable, influencing the achievement of business objectives that align with business and legislative compliance obligations. Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work. Leading advocate of Mace's value of Safety First, and be accountable for leading and maintaining exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability and project compliance standards. Leading the delivery of key assignments and defined business areas, providing strategic direction and monitoring delivery aligned with overall vision and objectives. Maintaining pipelines of projects and leads, through business development, client relationship management, negotiation and bidding. You'll need to have: A degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent). Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development. Comprehensive bidding and business development experience. A construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer. Excellent organisational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good IT skills (particularly Adobe and Excel). You'll also have: Proficient knowledge and expertise in specific sector/market of project/role. Sound technical expertise in health and safety executive (HSE) (or local equivalent) rules and specific sector/ market regulations relevant to project/portfolio. Knowledge of consultancy, construction, infrastructure and property sectors/markets and an understanding of estimating, scheduling, contracts administration, procurement, commercial controls and reporting. Commercial and financial acumen. Experience of developing and forming relationships with senior stakeholders. Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
