Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We work hard to enrich the lives of people with many different care needs. It’s exciting and rewarding work, and we’re full of pride and passion for what we do.
Since the early days, we’ve grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity, and respect. This resonates in our vision of ‘Your Life, Your Choice’ and our strategy ‘Best Lives Possible’.
We have strong values and are proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or been shortlisted for over national and regional awards!
We are also focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support, and in return, we invest in pay, recognition, wellbeing, and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support, and personal protective equipment you need in your role and help you develop if you want to grow your career with us.
Note: Starting pay is £11.94/hour until 31st March, increasing to £12.62/hour from 1st April.
Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
Meet the people:
* Some of us have autism, learning disabilities, and some are non-verbal
* We like to use iPads, watch films, and maintain relationships with our families
* Our interests include YouTube, playing musical instruments, music, playing catch, arts and crafts, and going out into the community for lunch and visits to local parks
* Our aspirations include returning to swimming and horse riding
* We explore our local communities through walks, van drives, visiting shops, parks, and restaurants
* We are all different with complex needs
Our home:
We live in a bungalow with a small garden, which is being renovated. We are installing a ramp to help some of us access the garden more easily during warmer months.
We have 3 colleagues on shift at a time, and 1 for waking night shifts. Shifts are 8am - 8pm, 8am - 2pm, 2pm - 8pm, and 8pm - 8am. Due to the preferences of the ladies supported here, only female staff are supported to apply. Candidates must be fully flexible and hold a full UK driving license.
