The L&D Manager will work for a Senior L&D Manager.
This role leads the design, delivery and governance of Heathrow’s compliance and professional qualifications learning offer. It ensures colleagues build the business-critical capabilities needed to meet regulatory requirements, maintain professional standards, and support professional development.
It plays a key role in enabling Heathrow to mitigate risk, maintain credibility, and build future-ready capabilities. Working closely with regulators, risk owners, and internal stakeholders, the role ensures learning solutions are current, compliant, and aligned to business needs.
1. Leading and governing the compliance and mandatory learning portfolio (., Fire Safety, Health & Safety, Cyber Security), ensuring content is current, legally compliant, and aligned with business needs.
2. Acting as the main point of contact for mandatory learning, providing expert guidance, operational support, and stakeholder engagement on compliance requirements and governance processes.
3. Shaping and overseeing the end-to-end development of learning solutions, applying a consulting approach to define audiences, objectives, and outcomes, and ensuring alignment with standards and the 5Di methodology.
4. Establishing and maintaining governance frameworks and reporting, tracking completion rates, compliance status, and professional qualifications to inform strategic decision-making and enable cost efficiency.
5. Collaborating with internal and external partners to maintain standards, ensure content quality, and support the development of scalable, engaging, and performance-driven learning solutions.
6. Proven experience managing compliance and mandatory learning portfolios.
7. Demonstrated governance experience, including oversight of professional qualifications and external learning spend.
8. Experience partnering with regulators, risk owners, and SMEs to maintain standards and ensure legal compliance.
9. Strong understanding of regulatory learning requirements, governance frameworks, and performance outcomes.
10. Ability to apply learning consulting principles to shape targeted, outcome-driven learning solutions.
11. Skilled in stakeholder engagement, product ownership, and cross-functional collaboration.
