Title:
Associate Director, Global Loan Syndications and Media & Telecom CIB Europe
Position Overview:
Collaborate with the Head of Global Loan Syndications in Europe to ensure the execution of business strategies, plans, and initiatives in compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures. Support European client coverage for the Telecommunications and Media sector, focusing on Liberty Global Plc (LG) and Liberty Latin America Limited (LLA).
What You'll Do:
1. Promote a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
2. Underwrite and arrange loans, ensuring the bank meets its target hold levels through primary and secondary loan markets and other capital market instruments.
3. Provide guidance on loan structure, pricing, and documentation; negotiate terms with borrowers and banks to close transactions successfully.
4. Maintain market intelligence on performing and distressed loans; communicate market information to senior management; update activities using Loantrak.
5. Support agency business, especially related to LG/LLA agencies; maintain agency data sites and market access controls.
6. Collaborate with US and SIDAC teams on Media & Telecom clients to maximize cross-product and cross-regional opportunities and profitability.
7. Ensure credit files, agreements, and security documents are complete and current.
8. Stay informed on global regulatory and economic developments affecting products and clients.
9. Consider the bank's risk appetite and culture in daily activities and decisions.
10. Create an environment of effective operations and strong controls to meet operational, compliance, AML/ATF, and conduct risks.
11. Build a high-performance team environment, fostering inclusion, communicating the vision and values, and managing succession and development plans.
What You'll Bring:
1. Knowledge of LMA/LSTA documentation and guidelines.
2. Strong credit skills.
3. Understanding of markets, especially bonds, private placements, and risk solutions.
4. Awareness of market capacity restrictions from regulatory or tax perspectives.
