The shift pattern for this post is 11.5 hours rotational over 24 hours and 7 days.
The Emergency Complex at Glasgow Royal Infirmary comprises the Emergency Department and Acute Assessment Unit, managing approximately 350 patients per day. The complex cares for a varied range of patients from the Northeast of Glasgow. We require a Band 7 Senior Charge Nurse/ Emergency Nurse Practitioner to join our Emergency Department Team.
You will work within the nursing and multi-professional team to ensure a high standard of care to a defined patient group, competently performing the necessary technical, invasive and physical aspects of care. It is essential that you are an Emergency Nurse Practitioner and competent or working towards extended roles including an independent prescribing qualification, clinical assessment. ECG recording, Venepuncture, Cannulation, IV medication administration is essential. Applicants should have 5 years or more previous experience of working in an Emergency Department.
