Offer description

Come join a cohesive leadership team dedicated to providing a positive employee experience through engagement, motivation, and empowerment of their teams, in an environment that also ensures you are well supported.

ACC exists to support people - we help prevent injuries and assist New Zealanders and visitors in returning to everyday life after an accident.

Our vision is Tōnui Ake Nei | Thriving Aotearoa - a future where we work together so that all people and their communities can live lives they value. Our purpose is to improve lives every day through a focus on prevention, care, and recovery for all people in Aotearoa New Zealand affected by injury.

Our strategy, Huakina Te Rā, is underpinned by Te Tiriti o Waitangi and our commitment to partnering with Māori and achieving equitable wellbeing outcomes for Māori. The strategy is implemented through our waka hourua partnered approach and dual-framing.

You can find more about ACC and the work we do here.

As a new leader in our Christchurch Client Administration hub, part of a national back-office function, you will support Client Administration employees who are often new to ACC and working in their first corporate role, as well as seasoned professionals.

You will empower your team to provide accurate and efficient support, ensuring our clients receive the right support for effective rehabilitation and a successful return to independence.

To succeed, you will need to hit the ground running, coaching and mentoring team members and providing support to ensure our success.

You will thrive working in a fast-paced environment and enjoy collaborating both locally and nationally.

If you are a customer-focused leader who values consistency, collaboration, and supporting your team to deliver quality customer experiences, this is the role for you.

* Leadership experience in a fast-paced, inclusive environment.
* Proven ability to motivate operational teams to achieve customer outcomes using data and insights.
* Experience coaching individuals to achieve results, adapting your approach to suit different needs and styles.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to make pragmatic decisions in complex or challenging situations.
* Ability to motivate teams with a collaborative approach.
* Curiosity and a drive for continuous improvement, resilience, adaptability, and the ability to thrive through change.
* Additional 9% superannuation.
* A supportive and inclusive work environment that values your knowledge and expertise.
* Opportunities for professional development and growth within the organization.
* The option to explore flexible working arrangements.
* A challenging role with variety.

We're looking for someone proactive, efficient, and collaborative, with strong initiative, a people-first mindset, and a genuine belief in our purpose. Comfortable leading through ambiguity, you'll seek opportunities, solve problems independently, and help drive momentum.

Ideally, you will have experience turning around team performance, enhancing culture, and positively shifting behaviors through strong, values-led leadership.
