Role Outline: To meet with all clients, either in person or over the phone, to arrange funerals; with an understanding, caring and sympathetic frame of mind. To handle their affairs from start to finish of the procedure and to clearly explain and communicate as and when the client needs it. Job Role and Responsibilities: Meet with clients to arrange funerals, including explaining the procedure, giving advice and offering a sympathetic ear. Ability to deal with bereaved families appropriately. Fill in all necessary paperwork accurately, either in paper form or electronically. Have a good understanding of computer software for electronic arranging and inputting information. Book cemetery, crematorium, church, minister, grave digger etc. as necessary. Arrange for removal of deceased from wherever they are laying, advise on dressing. Be willing to dress and apply facials to deceased (training will be provided). Put notices in newspapers, order flowers, create and construct orders of services. Ensure the smooth handling of affairs from start to finish. Build a relationship within the community of the location of the office, e.g. fund raising for the local church, setting up communication groups. Maintaining a clean working environment including offices, reception and chapels. Willing to cover any branch when requested. Have memorial masonry admin experience. Arrange urns, fingerprint jewelry, ashes jewelry and aftercare. Attend work functions and networking events to positively promote new relationships and the company within the local community.
