Digital Copywriter – Marketing
Your role: work from home as a full‑time, permanent Digital Copywriter for the Royal Voluntary Service’s Marketing Team, creating engaging digital content across the website, e‑mails and social media. You will help grow the organisation’s online presence, support its new volunteering platform GoVo and drive digital marketing campaigns that align with the overall strategy.
Key Details
Salary: £26,173 – £29,912 per annum (based on skills and experience).
Hours: 35 per week.
Location: Home based in the UK with occasional national travel.
Responsibilities
* Create and manage digital content across web, email and social channels.
* Write and edit copy for the organisation’s website, blogs, newsletters, social posts and other platforms.
* Optimise content for SEO and user experience.
* Collaborate with marketing, design and communications teams to meet audience needs.
* Develop and implement a digital content plan aligned with marketing goals.
* Produce creative campaigns that advance our channels.
* Analyse performance with Google Analytics and social insights, providing recommendations.
* Track digital trends, best practices and competitor activity.
* Manage content calendars and ensure timely delivery.
* Support broader digital marketing campaigns.
* Keep up-to-date with latest content tools and practices to improve quality.
Qualifications
* Degree level or equivalent experience in Digital Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field.
* Strong understanding of SEO, CMS, and digital marketing tools.
* Knowledge of digital copywriting best practices and audience engagement.
* Experience with analytics tools such as Google Analytics and social insights.
* Awareness of social media trends and content formats.
* Understanding of brand voice and tone across channels.
Experience
* Proven track record managing digital content across web, social and email, with portfolio evidence.
* Experience with SEO optimisation techniques.
* Hands‑on use of CMS (e.g., WordPress, Drupal).
* Managing social media platforms, calendars and community engagement.
* Analysing content performance and delivering actionable insights.
* Collaborating within cross‑functional teams.
* Use of email marketing tools and content distribution.
