About the Role
Are you ready to take your culinary career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Junior Kitchen Manager to join our vibrant Butlin's Buffets Department in Skegness! Reporting directly to the Kitchen Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in running our bustling kitchen and leading a talented team of chefs.
In this dynamic position, you’ll be passionate about delivering exceptional experiences. You’ll regularly monitor performance and develop action plans focused on continuous improvement. Your leadership skills will shine as you support and grow your team through daily briefings, stock control, and food presentation reviews.
Financial performance is key in this role. You’ll manage food cost budgets through effective menu planning and ensure that all cooking meets our high standards. Additionally, you’ll uphold food hygiene standards and health and safety regulations in line with legislation and company policies.
As a role model for Butlin’s unique way of working, you’ll ensure that training schedules and performance development plans are in place for your team, inspiring them to deliver a fantastic experience for our guests every time. Join us in our main buffet restaurant, where you’ll lead and develop a team serving guests who have booked a half-board dining package. Key Responsibilities
We’re looking for individuals with experience in a similar role, especially in high-volume environments. Our buffet department can serve up to 3,000 guests per service, so being able to thrive in a fast-paced setting is essential. Here’s what we’re looking for:

You must have passed your Level 3 Food Safety qualification and be confident in leading a team to maintain high standards in a busy kitchen environment. You’ll also manage margins, control costs, and oversee all health, safety, and hygiene aspects.

This role covers a 5-day working week over 7 days, totaling 40 hours, including evenings and weekends. Please note that this position does not come with onsite accommodation.
