The role
Southern Housing is looking for a Sustainability Performance & Reporting Analyst to support the delivery of our Environmental Sustainability Strategy, ESG & carbon reporting and annual SHIFT accreditation. Reporting to the Sustainability Reporting Manager, you will analyse and model energy and sustainability data to help us meet regulatory requirements and improve our environmental performance.
In this role, you will analyse a wide range of sustainability and energy-related data, including carbon, water, biodiversity, and procurement information. You will develop and maintain dashboards and data models in Excel and Power BI, ensuring our performance is clearly tracked and communicated. You will play a key part in supporting core submissions such as ESG, SECR, SHIFT and SDR, while managing data quality across systems like Apex and Portfolio.
You will identify gaps in our data, propose improvement plans, and support the Asset Information, Retrofit Planning and Heat Network teams with insights and reporting. Additionally, you will help manage our EPC programme and support regular updates to GIS mapping as needed.
This role can be based at one of our main offices in Farringdon or Sittingbourne. This is a hybrid working role with the option to work from home 3 days per week. Work from home days to be agreed with line manager.
What youll need:
Experience of analysing complex datasets logically and objectively
Excellent knowledge and experience using Excel. Experience of Asset Management systems, Power BI, GIS and data visualisation tools is desirable
Knowledge of asset and sustainability data e.g., RdSAP, EPCs, carbon emissions
Excellent organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines
Good attention to detail with a sense of focus
Strong communication skills to be able to communicate complex information to a range of audiences
Role model excellent customer service, creating a customer first working environment
