Do you have a passion for supporting young people to build confidence, independence and life skills? Are you patient, resilient and able to make a real difference every day? This is a rewarding and varied role supporting young people aged 16–25 with EHCPs, including those with complex learning difficulties, disabilities and social, emotional and mental health needs. You’ll provide 1:1 and small group support both on and off-site, helping learners develop independence, achieve their goals and prepare for their next steps. What you’ll do: • Provide 1:1 and group support to learners working towards literacy, numeracy and vocational outcomes • Support students to achieve their EHCP outcomes and RARPA targets • Deliver tailored support to help develop independence, confidence and life skills • Support travel training and independent journeys where appropriate • Work closely with curriculum teams, support services and external partners • Support learners with transitions, progression and future aspirations • Maintain accurate records, reports and risk assessments • Build positive, trusting relationships to support wellbeing and engagement What we’re looking for: • Experience supporting young people with additional needs, SEND or complex behaviours • A patient, resilient and empathetic approach • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships • Ability to work independently and use initiative • Good organisation skills and attention to detail • Level 2 English, Maths and ICT (or willingness to achieve) • A relevant qualification in youth work, mentoring or support (or equivalent experience) • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle This position will require working 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.
