The Role
We are currently seeking Lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Due to our delivery model, applicants must be flexible to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends.
What you’ll be doing
As a Lecturer in Accounting & Finance at Global Banking School, you will deliver management‑related modules, develop comprehensive course materials, undertake all aspects of learning, teaching and assessment, and stay current with developments in your field and student support practices.
Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver and assess student work, ensuring all learning outcomes are met.
* Develop, update and improve course materials as appropriate.
* Use a variety of learning and teaching methods and materials.
* Actively engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties.
* Keep up to date with the latest developments in your field and student support practices.
* Work towards objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression.
About You
* Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable).
* Have previous UK HE lecturing experience in a wider subject area.
* Demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
* Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
* Accurate reporting and ability to maintain thorough and organised student records.
* Work under pressure, planning and prioritising own workload to meet tight deadlines.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills.
* Work effectively with diverse groups of people.
Desirable
* Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during the probationary period and complete within three years) or HEA Fellowship (or international equivalent).
* Experience of design/development of academic or professional education programmes or equivalent.
