Role: Health and Safety Manager
Location: Hyrbrid - Oxfordshire & Home Based
Salary: Upto £57,500 plus excellent Benefits
My client, a leading organisation based in Oxfordshire require a Health and Safety Manager to lead the risk identification, management and mitigation processes in relation to Health and Safety and promote health and safety awareness across the organisation
Duties:
Lead the Health and Safety function
Lead, prepare and produce corporate governance products in line with the organisational business framework.
Support the organisation in understanding the Health and Safety culture to embed a learning and continuous improvement culture.
Lead, develop, implement and review effective strategic risk management processes for health and safety.
Support the Health and Safety function and organisation to identify new legislation and legislative changes
Work with key stakeholder to ensure Health and Safety policies and procedures are compliant and coordinated with legislative developments
Oversee external HSE inspections ensuring a planned schedule of audit activities to monitor and assess HSE performance is undertaken.
Lead and oversee Health and Safety risk assessment programme.
Skills Required:
Experience of successfully managing and developing people with clear accountability for their performance.
Experience of embedding robust management practices in health and safety, risk assurance, governance and strategy development.
NEBOSH Diploma or Level 5 NVQ in Health and Safety Practice
NEBOSH General certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
IMEA Certificate in Environmental Management (PIEMA)
NEBOSH certificate in Construction Health and Safety and Fire Safety and Risk Management and Enviornment management
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adaptable to all levels of the organisation with the experience, confidence and credibility to communicate complex or specialist information to a non-specialist audience, facilitate workshops and deliver presentations.
Must have capability to travel to different locations across oxfordshire and a full UK driving licence is considered essential.
