This role is in Transaction Classification Services lab, where we’re on a mission to provide a world class transaction data enrichment capability to power commercialisation. We are delivering one of the UKs richest transaction datasets, revolutionising financial insights and market intelligence for LBG and our customers. It's a critical role to us, as you will drive the evolution of data analytics solutions and AI capabilities, by developing and delivering solutions that are aligned with our group technical strategy and help achieve our lab’s goals and priorities.**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING** - You’ll use your knowledge of cloud platform/ infrastructure engineering to build and deliver new infrastructure that powers our platforms.Champion best practices in infrastructure security, resilience, and reliability. You'll use knowledge and experience of Cloud technologies to help shape our strategy.Work with your team to deliver functional and non-functional requirements ensuring these are being met during design, software development and testing.Be solving technical problems at pace, identify and implement infrastructure updates following engineering best practices.Get the opportunity to work with modern tech, data stacks, and cloud-based architectures, managing both the foundational data solutions alongside the adoption of advanced AI and ML capabilities. An experienced platform, data and/ or infrastructure engineer with a recent focus on developing solutions on cloud platform (e.g. GCP/AWS/Azure). Strong independent reasoning and problem solving abilities. Excellent spoken and written communication to allow for effective team work on complex challenges and solutions.Strong experience across cloud infrastructure – compute, storage, networking, and security. Familiarity with PaaS services, serverless solutions (e.g. GCP Cloud Run), hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container technologies. Practical experience with infrastructure-as-code practices and tooling (e.g. Terraform). Experience with monitoring and alerting tools. CI/CD: Detailed understanding of working automated CI/CD pipelines and experience of working with tools such as Jenkins, Harness etc. It's okay if one or two of these are things you're not used to. We want people who are eager to learn, grow, and teach us something in the process.**BONUS POINTS FOR EXPERIENCE WITH:** Experience with Internal Developer Platform paradigm and tooling (e.g. Backstage). Appreciation of data security and privacy, and architectural implications for infrastructure and application.
