Role Purpose
Supervises and actively contributes to the successful execution of a portfolio of change and transformation audits by ensuring that reviews are completed to a high-quality standard and that engagement reports provide assurance and contribute to improving LSEG's risk and control environment.
Lead audits confidently, on time, to budget and whilst managing audit risk. Monitor the audit team's progress and be the main point of contact with the team and audit partners to ensure audits progress in line with expectations. Help the audit team resolve and where applicable raise issues and blockers to the Audit Director or Head of Audit timely. Complete supervisory reviews of the audit file timely and ensure quality of the file meets methodology expectations.
Provide input to the Audit Director for any changes to the audit plan for both the quarterly refresh and the annual plan (inclusions and exclusions).
Proactively write and share issues and report content with partners to gather feedback and ensure that final product is impactful and of high quality. Actively forward plan to identify hurdles in advance so that there is time to implement solutions and propose ways forward.
Confidently manage audit partners and independently run audit stakeholder meetings. Work with the team to keep the stakeholders up to date with audit progress and findings to maintain our "no surprise" approach.
Provide input to the Audit Director for developing the change audit approach and delivery toolkit.
Role Responsibilities
* Develops an understanding of the key risks and risk drivers across applicable transformation activities; and ensures that the Audit Universe accurately reflects the business operations and that the risk assessments are up to date.
* Leads a portfolio of change audits setting standards and driving on-time delivery at each stage of the engagement lifecycle.
* Supervises delivery of core components of audit engagements in line with Internal Audit Methodology.
* Produces impactful audit reports influencing audit partners to improve the control environment.
* Develops and maintains productive relationships across the business and across the audit function with a view to collating and assessing business information throughout the year and update the assessments of the risks.
* Coaches and motivates team members on the application of the Audit methodology and actively manages the performance of team members.
* Leverages best practice across the Audit function.
* Contributes to departmental initiatives within Internal Audit and supports delivery of training.
Minimum Requirements
* Experience of and/or certification in change/transformation methods and practices would be an advantage
* Expertise and experience in Data Governance and lifecycle controls
* Relevant professional qualification
* Recognised Internal Auditing (IIA / CIIA) or Accounting Qualification desired. May be Part Qualified
* Proven experience required in assurance delivery and supervision, including completing transformation/change and technology reviews
* Extensive partner management experience
* CISA qualification or equivalent desired
* Knowledge of cloud migrations and/or architecture/security is desirable
* Experience in a fast-paced international organisation would be advantageous
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
