About the Role
MadiganGill’s specialist Trades and Labour team are seeking a CSCS card holding Material Controller for a job in Ashby. We are currently recruiting for a Material Controller to join a busy residential construction site team working for a well-established PLC housebuilder. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and organised skilled labourer looking to move into a long-term permanent role within site logistics and materials management. No previous Material Controller experience is required as full support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing stock levels within the site store
* Organising and maintaining the site store efficiently
* Coordinating where materials are placed and stored by Forklift Drivers (Forkie's)
* Working closely alongside Assistant Site Managers (ASM's)
* Ensuring materials are accessible, accounted for and stored safely
* Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the construction site
Requirements
* Valid CSCS Card essential
* No SSSTS required
* Previous construction site experience preferred
* Ideal for a strong and dependable skilled labourer
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
