Care Assistant at Care Concern Group – Barty House Nursing Home, Bearsted, Kent. Contract: Full Time. Salary: £12.81 Per Hour. Shift Type: Dayshift. Contracted hours: 36. Barty House Nursing Home provides high-quality nursing care for up to 59 residents in bright, ensuite rooms, with garden access and countryside views.
Responsibilities
* As a Care Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in our close-knit care team, ensuring residents receive exceptional care and support. Help with daily routines, promote independence, and prioritise overall health and happiness.
* Empower Independence: Assist residents with daily routines, from getting dressed to staying active, while encouraging independence.
* Personalised Care: Follow and support each resident’s personalised care plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention.
* Health and Wellbeing: Monitor residents’ health, communicate concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and assist with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
* Champion Dignity: Uphold dignity and respect in every interaction.
* Social Support: Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff.
* Safety and Comfort: Work with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe living spaces and respond to emergencies or call bells.
* Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking.
* Spread Smiles: Bring joy to residents’ lives daily.
What You’ll Need
* Qualifications: SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
* Experience: Ideally at least 6 months as a Care Assistant; transferable skills are welcome.
* Passion: Genuine interest in caring for the elderly and delivering excellent service.
