Position

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for this Permanent Full-time post in the Department of Clinical & Counselling Psychology to provide a specialist clinical psychology service to our adult population (aged 18-65) living in the Moray area.

Key Qualifications

• A HCPC recognised post‑graduate (Doctorate) qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology
• HCPC Registration as a registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist
• Suitable experience in Adult Mental Health services, preferably within the NHS
• Experience with severe and enduring clinical presentations and in‑patient settings is essential

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver assessment and treatment services for a wide range of mental health problems, including individual and group therapeutic interventions
• Provide consultancy, supervision, audit and research activities, as well as teaching and training where appropriate
• Supervise qualified multidisciplinary CMHT staff delivering psychological therapies and clinical psychology trainees on the University of Edinburgh/NHS Scotland Clinical Psychology Training Programme, and MSc Trainees on the Stirling/Dundee course in Psychological Therapies in Primary Care
• Participate in the development of psychological interventions in an in‑patient setting

Service Details

The post holder will work as part of a multi‑disciplinary Community Mental Health Team, alongside a senior psychologist, delivering both face‑to‑face and online appointments. The role includes dedicated time for in‑patient services and receives support and supervision from an in‑patient psychologist in Aberdeen.
