Job title: Process Engineer – Cell Assembly | Location: UK – Washington
We are looking for a talented Process Engineer to join our Cell Assembly function. You will provide technical engineering support across production and R&D, driving continuous improvement, problem solving, and investigations to ensure best practices are applied across all processes. You will help deliver improvements in output, quality, cost, and technology, making a real impact on our manufacturing performance.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical support for cell assembly production processes.
* Lead and support product development projects in conjunction with the Technology Centre.
* Own processes to implement error-proof solutions and best practices.
* Use systematic techniques to improve process capability (SPC, FMEA, KT, MSA, capability studies).
* Simplify, reduce, or eliminate process steps to improve throughput.
* Investigate issues, develop robust corrective actions, and share learnings.
* Ensure throughput capacity meets business requirements and collaborate across departments.
* Maintain HSE compliance and promote a safe working environment.
* Plan and implement process and product development projects, including cost reduction initiatives.
* Demonstrate professionalism, maintain high standards, and take responsibility for personal development.
* Participate proactively in company-wide improvement schemes.
Qualifications
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering (graduates are encouraged to apply).
* 0–3 years of experience in production/manufacturing (preferred).
* Strong skills in continuous improvement, problem solving, and investigations.
* Experience with Minitab, SAP, Infinity and familiarity with statistical process control, calibration, and gauge maintenance.
* Clear, precise, and articulate communication skills (written and oral).
* Dependable, adaptable, proactive, and a strong team player.
* Ability to work with people at all levels and independently when required.
