Sort Team Manager – Parcel Sort Centre
📍Location: Wednesbury Sort Centre (Yodel site)
💷 Salary: £30,231 pa
🕒 Shift Pattern: Sunday - Thursday 09:00 - 17:30 (40hrs)
📄 Contract: Permanent
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Team Manager in our Sort Operation, you will:
* Play a key role in ensuring the smooth, timely, and safe processing of parcels through the Sort Centre
* Coordinate and control daily parcel operations to ensure efficient distribution in line with Yodel’s operational procedures
* Maintain the highest standards of site performance, safety, and productivity
* Provide leadership and support to Team Leaders and Sort staff
* Allocate resources and assign tasks effectively across the team
* Monitor team performance, address any issues, and ensure targets are met
* Resolve staffing or operational problems to keep the sortation process running smoothly
* Work collaboratively with fellow Team Managers and Sort Managers to ensure seamless handovers and shift continuity
* Contribute to operational consistency and excellence across the Wednesbury Hub
We’re looking for someone who brings:
* Proven team leadership experience in a fast-paced Distribution, Parcel, or Logistics environment.
* Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and best practices.
* Confidence in basic administration tasks and operational reporting.
* Clear and effective communication skills—both verbal and written.
* The right to work in the UK (with supporting documentation).
* A proactive, problem-solving approach and the ability to work under pressure.
