We are working with an innovative technology company that is developing integrated Software products. We are helping them recruit a hands-on Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary development efforts.
As a Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of high-visibility technology programmes with a significant software component. Working closely with Engineering, Product Strategy, and Technical Leadership, you’ll ensure solutions are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You’ll need to be an expert at driving software-led development within a complex Software ecosystem, ideally previous experience in RF, mobile communications, embedded systems or relatable industry. Working closely with the Technical leads, you will drive execution across the full project lifecycle from planning and prototyping to validation, release, and post-launch support.
Key Responsibilities
Lead cross-functional teams delivering embedded and application-level software, integrated with hardware, in Agile and hybrid development environments (Agile + Waterfall). Drive full project lifecycle management including planning, execution, resource balancing, and delivery of projects with software dependencies. Apply advanced project management tools and methods to meet schedule, scope, and cost targets. Collaborate with Product Managers, Software Architects, and Engineering Leads to align software development with business and technical goals. Ensure adherence to software development best practices including CI/CD, configuration management, and regulatory compliance (e.g. EMC, Safety). Champion quality and best practice across all phases of software and system development. Proactively manage project risks, dependencies, and trade-offs; escalate appropriately and maintain stakeholder alignment. Drive a culture of continuous improvement, high performance, and accountability. Coordinate resource allocation across software and hardware teams in a multi-site, cross-functional environment.What You’ll Be Doing Day-to-Day
Qualifications
Leading regular sprint planning and cross-functional standups involving software, hardware, QA, procurement, and operations. Managing deliverables from internal software teams and external partners. Ensuring robust definition and tracking of user stories, technical specs, SoWs, and KPIs. Driving integrated software/hardware product delivery—balancing technical risk, test readiness, and release milestones. Working with Finance and Product Strategy to align business case assumptions with development priorities.Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or related discipline (or equivalent experience). Accredited Project Management certification (SAFe, APM, PRINCE2, IPMA, etc.). Proven experience leading software development projects—especially embedded systems, platforms, and applications. Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), especially in Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe). Familiarity with hardware-software integration challenges and delivery strategies. Experience in regulated product environments with familiarity in conformance (e.g., EMC, Safety). Experience managing external software or design partners to technical and commercial requirements. Demonstrated ability to motivate technical teams and maintain delivery momentum
