Fresh Horizons CNB is looking for a dedicated Housing Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of Hope & Cedar House. About the Role As the Housing Manager, you’ll work with staff and volunteers to ensure the smooth and effective delivery of our housing project. Your work will be hands-on and varied—from managing maintenance and safety compliance to building positive relationships with residents. Key Responsibilities Team & Property Management * Work with housing staff and volunteers to ensure efficient project delivery. * Coordinate and oversee maintenance tasks, working with contractors and service providers. * Conduct regular safety checks and ensure all certifications are up to date. Resident Support & Community Building * Foster a friendly and safe community environment. * Support residents with housing benefit claims and income maximisation. * Resolve disputes, promote tenant responsibility, and support tenancy sustainment. Tenancy & Income Management * Process housing applications, conduct interviews, and manage room allocations. * Ensure timely collection of rental income and service charges. * Maintain accurate records of all payments, invoices, and financial transactions. Letting & Void Management * Expedite the letting of rooms through strong partnerships with referral agencies. * Ensure all rooms are maintained and ready for new tenants. Maintenance & Health and Safety * Regularly inspect the property and coordinate necessary repairs and upkeep. * Ensure furniture, white goods, and shared facilities are functional and safe. * Enforce health and safety standards in line with regulatory requirements. About You You’ll be a confident, compassionate leader with excellent organisational skills and a strong sense of accountability. You should be able to manage people and property with equal skill, while maintaining a strong commitment to resident well-being.
