Overview
Senior Healthcare Scientist/Physiologist (Paediatrics) – closing date 12 February 2026. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated respiratory scientist/physiologist to join our friendly paediatric respiratory team. This is a 1 year fixed term contract to help expand our service and testing within the community diagnostic centre at Roehampton.

Main duties of the job
* To work in paediatric services for lung function and sleep investigations.
* Undertakes a wide range of both simple and highly complex procedures in Sleep and lung function testing, Set-up, download and analyse inpatient and domiciliary respiratory sleep studies.
* Reporting from simple to complex assessments in Sleep and lung function testing.
* To maintain, calibrate and disinfect the equipment according to Trust and departmental policy.

Person Specification
Experience
* Able to work effectively as an individual and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Evidence of implementing innovation or having responsibility for part of service delivery.
* Well-organised and able to prioritise own workload and that of others.
* Previous work with Paediatric patients.
* Previous experience of Hospital software.
* Evidence of managing a part of a service
Professional Qualifications
* BSc Clinical Physiology / Healthcare Science (Respiratory/Sleep)
* Continuing evidence of CPD
* Experience at a Band 6 or equivalent
* ARTP Qualifications
* Have or be applying for RCCP registration.
* Post-graduate courses (paediatrics) in sleep and respiratory
