Psyche Vitality is an independent psychological service providing high-quality, remote assessments and interventions. Established in 2016 and incorporated in the UK in 2024, we specialise in:
* Autism and ADHD diagnostic assessments (children, young people, and adults),
* Therapy and counselling psychology sessions,
* Consultancy and practitioner support, and
* Training and CPD events for professionals.

Job Summary
The Assistant Psychologist will support the delivery of autism and ADHD assessments, therapy services, and service development under the supervision of HCPC-registered psychologists. This role is part-time and fixed-term, making it ideal for psychology graduates seeking flexible work experience before applying for further postgraduate training in psychology.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical
The role of the post will be varied and will include:
1. Supporting screening and triaging referrals within the assessment pathway.
2. Liaising with schools, colleges, and referrers to gather essential clinical information for diagnostic assessments.
3. Reviewing referrals and supporting clinical decision-making for allocation of appointments to the appropriate clinicians/disciplines.
4. Acting as a point of liaison with partner services to support collaborative practice.
5. Direct clinical involvement in autism and ADHD assessments under supervision, including:
6. Structured observations,
7. Use of assessment tools such as ADOS-2 and QbTest, and
8. Supporting developmental history interviews.
9. Providing telephone/email support and signposting families awaiting assessment or following diagnostic outcomes.
Administration
1. Maintaining accurate clinical records in line with GDPR and Psyche Vitality policies.
2. Drafting and contributing to diagnostic and therapy reports.
3. Assisting with the preparation of service resources and documentation.
4. Research, Audit & Service Development
5. Supporting the collection and analysis of service data.
6. Assisting with audits, quality improvement, and evaluation projects.
7. Keeping up-to-date with relevant clinical and academic research to inform practice.
Person Specification
Essential
* A degree (2:1 or above) in Psychology.
* Eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) with the British Psychological Society (BPS).
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey sensitive or complex information clearly.
* Demonstrated interest in neurodevelopmental conditions (ASD, ADHD).
* Ability to work flexibly, independently, and collaboratively in a team.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills.
* Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Desirable
* Experience working with autistic individuals, people with ADHD, or in a mental health/education setting.
* Research, audit, or service evaluation experience.
* Familiarity with autism and ADHD diagnostic tools.
* Cultural awareness and experience of working with diverse populations.
