Job Description
An exciting opportunity has recently become available for a Clinical Application Specialist – General Imaging Ultrasound to join our Ultrasound team.
Whether coming from a clinical background or having transitioned into the commercial sector, your clinical experience within General Imaging and customer-centric approach will be highly valued.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the growth of our General Imaging Ultrasound business, enhance customer satisfaction, and support after-sales services by demonstrating Philips Cardiac Ultrasound products and training users on our ultrasound equipment to ensure full understanding of its use. You will collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders and play a pivotal role in the ongoing success of our Ultrasound division.
This position covers the South West & Wales territory, is field-based, and requires willingness to travel and support team members. If not currently residing in this territory, relocation plans are necessary.
You will be part of a team of 15 ultrasound clinical application specialists, reporting to the Business Line Manager and supported by the Ultrasound Clinical Applications team leader.
Your role includes:
1. Demonstrating General Imaging ultrasound products at customer sites, hospitals, conferences, and exhibits, assisting sales with technical support.
2. Managing post-sales customer training at hospitals and Philips customer days.
3. Following training schedules for all equipment and providing formal reports after applications visits.
4. Maintaining contact with existing users to ensure ongoing satisfaction and confidence in Philips Ultrasound equipment.
5. Ensuring all clinical training aligns with the company's quality policies.
6. Providing feedback on system performance, competitor products, customer reactions, and sales initiatives.
7. Liaising with the Product Management team to stay updated on US information, including attending international meetings when appropriate.
8. Supporting courses delivered by key accounts or customers.
9. Assisting the Business Line Manager in marketing, sales, and promotion activities, and providing specialist support to account managers.
Ideal candidates are those who:
* Hold a full UK driving license and are willing to travel extensively.
* Have completed postgraduate studies in Sonography or Clinical Science.
* Are members of the British Society of Echocardiology.
* Possess in-depth clinical experience in General Imaging.
* Can train others on ultrasound equipment.
* Have excellent communication skills and are positive relationship builders.
