We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Area Network Manager to join our team and support our business and network growth plans.
If you're a Service Manager, Aftersales Manager or experienced within an automotive environment we want to hear from you!
This is the job
In this role, you’ll be responsible for carrying out garage audits to ensure each site meets both customer specific and AA Approved quality standards. A strong understanding of audit processes, compliance management, and maintaining high operational standards is key to success in the position.
You’ll play an important part in supporting the growth of the business and expanding the garage network, working closely with partners to ensure a consistently high level of service across all locations.
Once garages are appointed, you’ll take ownership of ongoing account management, building strong relationships and ensuring standards continue to be met. The role also involves promoting AA Approved products and services, as well as identifying and communicating any risks or threats that could impact the service provided by the garage network.
What will I be doing?
As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for managing relationships with AA Approved Garages, supporting a network of partners to ensure high levels of service, quality, and compliance are consistently delivered.
You’ll carry out regular Quality & Compliance inspections, making sure garages meet required standards and performance targets, while identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing action plans where needed.
The role also involves supporting the continued growth of the AA Approved Garage Network by identifying and engaging potential new garage partners and promoting the benefits of joining the network.
Using performance data and reporting tools, you’ll conduct regular performance management visits to garages, ensuring contractual KPI’s, legal requirements, and operational standards are being met in a cost-effective and customer-focused way.
You’ll also:
* Produce monthly performance and risk reports for senior management
* Carry out unannounced visits and mystery shops across the network, including customer vehicle assessments
* Monitor and protect the correct use of AA branding across partner garages
* Investigate complaints and claims, managing issues through to a satisfactory resolution in line with AA Prestige guidelines
* Build strong working relationships with garage partners to drive continuous improvement and maintain excellent service standards
What do I need?
To be successful in this role, you’ll need a strong background within the motor industry aftermarket environment, with at least 3 years’ relevant experience and a solid understanding of garage operations, compliance, and customer service standards.
You should have:
* A full, clean UK driving licence
* Good IT skills, including confidence using Microsoft 365 and learning new systems
* Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of the AA brand and AA Approved Garage offering
We’re looking for someone who can work independently, manage priorities effectively, and remain calm under pressure while working to tight deadlines.
You’ll also need to be confident communicating with a range of audiences, including handling challenging conversations professionally and building strong working relationships across the network.
The ideal candidate will be:
* An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
* Able to work in a consultative and objective manner
* Customer-focused, with the ability to understand and advocate for client needs
* Self-motivated, proactive, and able to use their own initiative
* Passionate about maintaining high standards and driving continuous improvement
