Our expertise spans the entire asset lifecycle, including feasibility studies, option assessment and selection, outline and detailed design, testing, and engineering support throughout implementation, operation, and maintenance phases.
Role
The CAD Technician will work as an integral part of the design and engineering team at Navitas Engineering to deliver outputs such as layout drawings, single line drawings, circuit diagrams, detailed schematics, process flowcharts and other electrical design deliverables. Responsibilities
* Produce high-quality, accurate, and compliant technical designs and drawings in various disciplines, including layout drawings, single-line drawings, circuit diagrams, detailed schematics, and process flowcharts.
* Support the delivery of outline and detailed railway electrification design-related deliverables, adhering to project specifications and internal and client CAD standards.
* Implement internal and client CAD standards and related requirements to ensure consistency and quality across all design deliverables.
* Work collaboratively with other CAD technicians and the wider design team to optimise workflows and ensure seamless integration of CAD deliverables.
* Utilise and optimise a range of CAD and BIM-related software to enhance productivity and quality of design outputs.

About You
* CAD experience in electrical design disciplines, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality technical designs and drawings.
* Competence in MicroStation, ProjectWise, and other BIM software, with the ability to optimise their use to enhance workflow efficiency and design.
* Familiarity with railway electrification design and related deliverables.
* Understanding of CAD standards, regulations, BIM process and best practices.
* Alternatively, this role could also suit someone at the beginning of their career, with a good baseline knowledge of CAD software (MicroStation or AutoCAD) and a willingness to develop.
Qualifications
* Relevant qualifications in CAD drafting, engineering, or a related field.
